She earned her BFA in Painting and Printmaking, with a minor in Film and Design, from VCUarts Qatar in 2025. She completed an international residency at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris, and has exhibited locally and regionally in group shows, including at Fire Station, Katara Art Center, M7, and MamarLab in Abu Dhabi.

Gigi's practice explores identity and states of being through constructed, dream-logic scenes, built from oil painting, performance, and staged imagery. Rather than working from direct observation alone, she relies on intuition, collage-making, memory, and personal symbolism to build spaces that resist clear narrative. Animals, especially dogs and lambs, often appear as proxies for the self, allowing her to approach emotion, desire, vulnerability, and exposure indirectly.

Staging is central to her process, shaping narrative and composition toward a sense of theatricality and psychological distortion. The resulting scenes sit between recognition and estrangement, where meaning is felt rather than explained. She uses absurdity and subtle humor to reflect lived experience while opening imaginative spaces for escape and reinterpretation.
